How it works

Fundraising with accountability built in

1. Apply

Create a campaign explaining the purpose, beneficiary, fundraising target and intended use of funds.

2. Provide evidence

Good Cause may request identity documents, beneficiary consent, bank information, charity or organisation information and supporting evidence relevant to the campaign.

3. Human review

A campaign must be reviewed and approved before live donations are enabled. Good Cause may decline or request changes where information is unclear, unverifiable, unsafe or inconsistent with platform rules.

4. Fundraise

Approved campaigns can be shared publicly. Donations start from NZ$1. Supporters see the campaign purpose, verification status and fee information.

5. Keep supporters informed

Organisers should publish meaningful updates and disclose material changes affecting the fundraising purpose or beneficiary.

6. Controlled payout

Funds are paid only after the relevant beneficiary or payee and payment destination have satisfied required checks. Payouts can be delayed or withheld where fraud, disputes, verification or legal concerns exist.
