Street appeals and collections in Christchurch

Christchurch City Council approval is needed before a charity or organisation holds a street appeal at approved sites around the city. Street appeals run on Fridays and Saturdays between 8.30am and 4.30pm, and you cannot start until the council has approved your application. Private venues such as supermarkets, malls and markets need permission from the owner or manager, not the council.

Events and raffles

Quiz nights, sausage sizzles, fun runs and club days work well. Put a QR code linking to your online page on posters and tables so people without cash can give.
