Fundraising guide

Online fundraising for registered charities

Registered charities can use Good Cause for a specific appeal or project, with the same low fee and a public progress page supporters can share.

Why a project page helps

A single, clear appeal, such as winter meals or a new van, is easier to share than a general donation form. Supporters can see progress and updates.

Receipts and tax credits

If your charity is an approved donee organisation, donors may be able to claim a tax credit of one third of their donation. Say so on your campaign page. Good Cause sends a payment receipt for every donation; check with us about the receipt details your donors need.

Verification

We check the charity’s registration, the person applying and the bank account before donations are enabled.
